Faculty development should be a priority to sustain and support simulation-based education (SBE) programs. Clinical educators in ophthalmology should be provided with training opportunities in SBE. Facilitators may have different levels of simulation knowledge and experience. Faculty development programs must accommodate for novice, basic-level and advanced-level trainers as well as for technicians. The infographic summarises the second of four articles on good practices in simulation-based education in ophthalmology, but the principles can be applied to other disciplines as well.
